Micropigmentation

What it is

Micropigmentation is a semi permanent technique that places pigment in the upper layers of the skin. Unlike a traditional tattoo, the pigment gradually fades over time, which allows the result to be adjusted as your face changes.

The starting point is always the design: we study symmetry, face shape, skin tone and your preferences before applying any pigment.

Areas we treat

• Eyebrows: filling gaps, correcting asymmetry and defining the shape, with a hair stroke or powder effect.
• Eyes: a discreet liner along the lash line that enhances your eyes and saves you from applying eyeliner every day.
• Lips: defining the contour and evening out the colour, for lips that look more defined and fuller.

How it works

A sessão começa pelo desenho e pela escolha do pigmento, que aprovamos consigo antes de começar. Aplica-se um creme tópico para reduzir o desconforto. Conforme a área, a sessão demora entre uma hora e meia e duas horas e meia.

About four to six weeks later, a touch up session corrects small gaps and sets the colour.

Recovery and aftercare

In the first few days, the colour looks more intense and there may be slight swelling, especially on the lips. The skin flakes for one to two weeks and the final colour only shows once it has healed.

During that period, avoid sun, swimming pools, saunas and make up on the treated area.

Duration

Results usually last between one and three years, depending on skin type, area, sun exposure and aftercare. A yearly touch up helps maintain colour and definition.

When it should not be done
